PTA Resale Sign-Up

Registration for McCarty’s 2017 Back to School Children’s Resale is open and filling up quickly!  Sign up today to clear out space in your house and make some extra cash! 2017 resale sign up public

Don’t want to sell but have gently used items to donate?  These items will be sold FOR you and 100% of the proceeds comes back to the PTA. We accept all gently used children’s clothing (sizes newborn to 16), TOYS, sports equipment, shoes, baby equipment, books, children’s bedding, bikes, and more!

Pinot’s Palette Adult Night Out

Join the PTA for an Adult Night Out on May 24th from 7-9pm at Pinot’s Palette. Cost is $38 per person (with $10 per person being donated to McCarty PTA) and includes snacks and one drink ticket. Additional beverages will be available for purchase. Register  online or by returning the registration form and payment to school. Registration will close May 19th or when capacity is reached.

Pop Tab Collection

Pop tabs will be collected until Friday, May 12th.  In 2014, Ronald McDonald House Charities for Chicago and Northwest Indiana raised more than $40,000 from this program, which provides 800 nights of care and comfort for families. This allows families to save $160,000 in hotel and food costs. Every pop tab can make a difference so please send them in! Thank you!

2017 Mother/Son Night

McCarty boys and one adult per family are invited to a fun-filled evening at Hollywood Palms on May 10th (doors open at 5:30, movie begins at 6:45). Admission is $12 a person and includes a ticket to Guardians of the Galaxy 2, popcorn, and drink. Formal attire is encouraged. Register online or using this form.

The idea behind this activity is for every McCarty boy to be able to spend a fun night out with their mother (or one adult figure). Since space is limited, only McCarty boys and one adult per family will be able to attend. Also, preregistration is required to ensure appropriate staffing. Thank you for your understanding.

2017 PTA STEAM Fair

Full STEAM Ahead! Registration is now open for the 2017 McCarty Elementary STEAM Fair! Come be a part of the STEAM Fair on Friday April 21, 2017. In addition to projects that involve science, technology, engineering and math, this year we are expanding our fair for those students that enjoy projects that are more on the creative side by adding projects from the Arts! Art projects can reflect creations from a computer, sculptures, drawings, photography, or even video skits, song, vlogs about a particular STEAM topic.

Registration for the STEAM Fair is due by Tuesday April 4, 2017. Both online registration and paper registration are available.  All registrants will be provided a tri-fold board that will be delivered to their classroom on Thursday April 6, 2017. Parents are also needed to help volunteer to help make our fair a success. Please volunteer your time to help encourage students that are participating at the fair. You can sign up as a volunteer or judge. Judges will be provided examples of questions to ask exhibitors. Sign up here.
